In recent years we have seen an increase in CAD tool capability and this in turn has driven a greater degree cooperative -design between E-CAD and M-CAD disciplines. Having invested in Altium as a 3D capable E-CAD tool a year ago, Norcott has made another major investment in both Software and Hardware to move the mechanical team onto Solidworks. This aligns Norcott with the majority of our customer base and we have a good working knowledge within the design team as to how to efficiently couple Altium and Solidworks models to best effect. This will allow us to dynamically support electronic/mechanical co-design whilst being able to share both the whole design, or parts, with our customers as required.
